Some of the students will be moving into addition concepts. We will be looking at:

• Reading and writing addition stories
• Addition strategies including counting on, using doubles, making to ten, zero facts
• Addition algorithms - 2 digit add 2 digit with and without renaming and with zeros in the answer
• Addition algorithms - 3 digit add 3 digit renaming ones and tens and with zeros in the answer
• Adding several one digit numbers
• Addition algorithms - 4 digit add 4 digit renaming ones ,tens and hundreds and with zeros in the answer
• Problem-solving – addition concept interpreting the question and it’s meaning and applying it to a situation.
